In brief - Around fifty chefs and local producers, including Confirel, met in early September at the “Local Ingredients and the Future of Food” seminar organized at the initiative of the Cambodian Food Producers Association. The aim of this meeting was to better understand market needs and the benefits of using local products and to study the creation of a local brand supported by digital marketing. Lorn Srei Lak, Confirel’s export manager, highlighted the interest of top national chefs in Confirel products, particularly Kirum powdered prahok. She also noted that many imported products could be advantageously replaced by local creations, such as whiskies with spirits from Confirel’s Kirel-Jaya range.
